Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer Pay Rate: $35.00-45.00/hour Location: Indianapolis, IN 46225 Area Code: 317 Shift: 1st Shift (Full-time, Direct job with full benefits) #manufacturingjobs #qualityengineering #aerospace Job Summary: We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team and lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize overall performance. This role requires a data-driven professional who applies methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify inefficiencies, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable solutions. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to foster innovation, drive measurable results, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: * Process Mapping & Flowcharts: Develop comprehensive process maps to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization. * Root Cause Analysis & Reports: Conduct structured problem-solving using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. * Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of standardized processes, step-by-step procedures, and work instructions. * KPI Dashboards & Reports: Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track the success of continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on metrics like cycle time, first-pass yield, and cost savings. * Training & Development: Design training materials, workshops, and e-learning modules to educate employees on Lean tools, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality standards. * Project Closure Reporting: Produce detailed final reports summarizing project outcomes, lessons learned, and the impact of improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor"s degree in engineering or combination of education & experience. * Proven experience in process improvement, manufacturing, and/or operations roles within the aerospace industry. * Hands-on experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies. * Proficiency in process mapping tools such as SAP and Visio. * Strong data analysis skills with tools like Excel, Minitab, and PowerBI. * In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques. * Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with advanced data visualization tools and techniques. * Experience in training or mentoring teams on continuous improvement practices. * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). * Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
