We are seeking a Special Process Quality Engineer to support cross-functional teams in driving yield improvements and ensuring process compliance across critical aerospace components. The primary focus will be on special process oversight, including PR/MRB execution, NADCAP audit support, and root cause analysis.
This role plays a key part in identifying and resolving quality issues related to heat treatment, brazing, chemical processing, and other special processes-while supporting engineering changes, drawing reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support Preliminary Review (PR) and Material Review Board (MRB) processes
* Review and approve engineering drawings and design changes related to special processes
* Investigate and resolve quality issues, providing effective Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
* Collect, analyze, and report on program quality data and yield metrics
* Lead or support NADCAP audit preparations and internal audit activities across all special process areas
* Coordinate Notification of Escape (NoE) documentation with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
* Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards, and work instructions
Required Qualifications
* Hands-on experience with NADCAP audits and special process compliance
* Technical knowledge in heat treatment and brazing
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to RCCA and process control
* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with aerospace specifications and standards
* Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as AS9100
* Exposure to chemical processing quality control
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting
