Aerospace Engineer - Tooling (Querétaro, México) - ID# 357590
A Tooling Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Querétaro, México. This is a full-time direct position. Great matching candidates will have Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline. Job Duties: * Review & understand technical requirements data sheets * Developing new tooling methods and fixtures * Researching new suppliers and tooling concepts to improve designs and reduce cost * Project scheduling to test new tools and processes * Schedule design reviews with Manufacturing Engineers * Able to create drawings and specifications from tooling designs * Works with design engineering team to improve part design for manufacturability (DFMA, Key Characteristics, Tooling Hole Requirements) * Learn how each tool works and what it does * Validate tooling to tech requirements data sheets, CTQ's & stakeholder requirements * Direct mechanics during tool use & be able to provide answers to any questions they may have troubleshoot & document any problems with tooling as they arise * Provide input on improvements to tooling design, process, ergonomics, etc. * Author technical documents that capture tool use results * Work with machine shops as directed by customer to rework tooling * Travel to customer facilities as needed, to support 'first hand' tooling efforts Required Qualifications: * BS or MS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline * 5+ years of experience in tooling design and development * Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing * Ability to exchange tooling ideas with Operations Managers and Manufacturing Engineers * Skilled with Microsoft Office tools and possess some knowledge of modeling and analysis using one or more tools * Knowledge of Aerospace industry standard practices and project organization; task supervision by design/drafting personnel. * Experience with stress analysis, technical writing, and manufacturing process * Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized and possess excellent communication abilities * Experience with NX or other modeling software * Working/Fluent in English at communication level Preferred: * Experience with ANSYS As an employee with Belcan, you will be part of one of the largest engineering firms in the world.
