Job Title: Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Planning Location: New Orleans, LA 70129 Area Code: 504 Pay Rate: $45.00-60.00/hour Shift: 1st Employment Type: Direct, Full Benefits #ManufacturingEngineering #AerospaceSystems #NASAJobs Job Overview: We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support the development and maintenance of formal manufacturing documentation and process plans for aerospace hardware fabrication and integration. This role focuses on baseline planning, supporting engineering milestones, and ensuring production documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with technical and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical manufacturing engineering, with a focus on documentation, planning, and configuration control. Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain fabrication, integration, and test instructions as part of Manufacturing/Assembly/Integration/Test (MAIT) plans * Ensure planning packages align with engineering design data, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices * Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production stakeholders to ensure timely release of baseline documentation * Participate in design and planning reviews to provide manufacturability feedback * Provide technical inputs for program milestones including Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) * Assist in the creation and management of digital manufacturing plans within MES or equivalent planning systems Core Qualifications: * Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field) * Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments * Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and process documentation * Ability to write, edit, and manage manufacturing work instructions and test plans * Strong communication and documentation skills * Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple planning packages in parallel Preferred Qualifications & Skills: * Prior experience with planning tools or MES systems (MESi a plus, but not required) * Background in either mechanical or electrical manufacturing planning * Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards * Knowledge of spaceflight hardware or government/aerospace program documentation standards Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
