A Model-Based Enterprise NX Interoperability Senior Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need 3+ years of Model Based Definition (MBD) application experience in Siemens NX. As an MBE NX Interoperability Senior Engineer, you will support customer initiatives with subject matter expertise on MBD practices that maximize data reusability in interoperable consumption workflows. You will be joining our experts on the Digital Solutions Lead Team, delivering capabilities to meet our customers" growing needs in digital transformation. * Work will be performed onsite in CT or FL. * Complete the following responsibilities as they relate to authoring MBD in Siemens NX to generate trusted and interoperable derivative MBD files (e.g. JT, QIF, STEP, 3DPDF, Bill of Characteristics) o Generate derivative files from source NX CAD o Use manual and software-enabled techniques to validate completeness and accuracy of derivative files and document issues o Test to determine if derivative file issues are due to engineering authoring approaches or translation software o Coordinate with engineering on authoring approaches that could resolve derivative file issues o Engage with software vendors in the evaluation, development, debugging, and evolution of software to address gaps o Create cleansed no/low-tech data test articles to support testing o Document MBD authoring best practices based on successful workflows o Engage with software vendors to maintain fresh knowledge solution maturation and evolution o Work with customers to document software solution gaps that need to be filled to achieve target states * Develop and deliver internal and customer-facing presentations and documentation using MS Office and other methods for clear communication Required: * US Citizenship * Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance * Bachelor's Degree in a mechanical design or engineering discipline. * 3+ years MBD application experience in Siemens NX * Experience with industry standards developed for, or supportive of MBD (ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.41, AMSE Y14.47, QIF, MIL-STD-31000) * Advanced knowledge of GD&T and its application with respect to MBD * Experience with MBD software landscape (CADIQ, Capvidia, Anark, BCTI, Elysium) * Experience with MBD interoperable formats (3DPDF, HTLM5, STEP, QIF, JT) * Possess a growth mindset with personal desire to learn and create solutions * Strong communication skills including framing value and relating new concepts to others * Ability to learn new technologies and identify applications to solve business challenges * Broad experience working horizontally across functional organizations such as engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and information technology * Ability to influence and build consensus among executives, other leaders, and engineers * Ability to remotely collaborate with a team of experts based in various locations throughout the US Preferred: * ASME Y14.5 GD&T Certification * Experience/knowledge of Siemens NXOpen programming * Experience/knowledge of MBD application in CAD systems other than NX (CREO, CATIA and Solidworks) * Working knowledge of Siemens NX software license packages (FiberSIM, Mechanical Routing, Electrical Routing, PMI Advisor, Check-Mate, Tolerance Analysis) * Experience with Lean & Agile practices * Organizational Change Management, specifically managing adoption and resistance to new ways or working Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $95,000 to $130,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
